Boca Grande Pass Fishing Charters

“My firm has been hosting tarpon fishing trips for our high end clients to Boca Grande Pass for over 45 years and I have participated or hosted these trips for the past 15 years. During this time, I have fished Boca Grande Pass with well over 50 different captains and have tried every tactic known to mankind to catch the elusive Silver King. I chose Jamie Goodwin to head up my team of captains for a number of reasons:

• Jamie Goodwin catches more tarpon than the rest of the captains in the pass!
• Jamie has a terrific personality and engages my guests in conversation. He takes pride in educating the clients on the fishing tactics we are using. He is able to hold an intelligent conversation with us and tell an appropriate joke or two in the process.
• Jamie’s equipment is always in great shape and he only uses the best rods and reels.
• Jamie is always equipped to fish for Tarpon using a variety of tactics which include everything from crabs, to green backs, to jigs, etc. Most of the other captains that fish the pass are married to one style of fishing, either live bait or jigging.

As the leader of the captains I entrust Jamie to put together a team of 10-12 captains which he hold to the same standards as he holds himself to in terms of equipment, personality, knowledge and flexibility in fishing tactics. There is a safety briefing prior to entering the pass and a hands on lesson for those clients which have not fished before or have fished but are unfamiliar with Tarpon fishing. We have never had a safety issue on any of the trips Jamie has coordinated as the lead captain.

Jamie is Punctual – we have never left the dock late because the captains were late. Conversely, the captains are early and my clients and I are usually late to the dock.
