Anyone who has ever gone Tarpon fishing in Boca Grande Pass knows about the “Hill Tide.” During the new moon and full moon tides, millions of “pass crabs” will float to the surface of Boca Grande Pass. These crabs will flow out with the outgoing tides triggering a giant Tarpon fishing feed like no other.
Thousands of Tarpon then rise to the surface to feast on these “pass crabs” which puts you right in the middle of a fishing frenzy! We encourage anyone interested in booking a Tarpon fishing charter boat to book now. The season is only about 10 weeks long and dates are taken early! If you miss it, there’s always something to fish for in our waters! The height of Tarpon fishing season runs from the end of April through the beginning of July.
